Dress up the Pegman You know Pegman, right? The little yellow figure you drag onto the map to activate Google Street View, and see the world from street level? If you're on a desktop you'll notice that this little guy looks a bit different. Dressed up, even. The extent of these costume changes isn't fully known yet.

Use the directions tool on Google Maps to plot out your route. Then click the 3 lines in the top left hand corner and select 'Share or Embed Map' to copy your unique directions link. Then go to Maps to GPX and paste in your directions link and export this to a GPX file type.

You may use screenshots from Google Maps and Earth in a book or other publications without needing to request our permission, as long as you're distributing 5,000 or fewer copies. You must adhere to our attribution guidelines, and you can't alter how the product interface looks or use screenshots out of context.
